Code of Conduct
Swing 2 Places is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and comfortable experience for everyone throughout the event. We urge our fellow participants and volunteers to read and comply with the following Code of Conduct:
We do not condone Harassment.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
We reserve the right to take any appropriate action against Harassment.
If a participant engages in inappropriate behaviour, the organiser reserves the right to take immediate action to address the situation. These may include verbal warnings or expulsion from the event without refund. Participants who are asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Look out for each other.
If you're being harassed or notice that someone else is being harassed, please contact the operations team of Swing 2 Places immediately for assistance. All incidents will be taken seriously and dealt with in confidence.
Safety FIRST.
We're here to socialise and have fun. As responsible social dancers, we need to ensure that we protect ourselves and each other on the dance floor. As such, aerials are strictly forbidden while dips should only be executed with the consent of your dance partner. Ask each other to dance, and accept rejection with a 'Thank You'. There are many reasons why someone might not want to dance at any given moment, so please remain respectful at all times.
